Paramount Automotive has raised the bar in full-featured, trail-ready rear bumpers for 2018 and newer Jeep Wrangler JL with the Gen 3 Body Width Bumper. Part of a complete bumper and accessory system (along with the optional Gen 3 Tire Carrier, sold separately, part number 81-20403), this bumper was designed from the ground up to meet the performance needs of everyone from casual to extreme off-roaders. We started by making it body-width so it tucks in tighter to the Jeep's corners to sneak past the rocks in tight canyon trails.
Then we gave the Gen 3 a high clearance, multi-faceted design to give it the best departure angle possible in an easy to install, bolt-on rear bumper. Even the heavy duty 1" thick recovery shackle tabs are engineered for high clearance, with an angled design and welded inside and out for strength. The integrated class III tow hitch receiver is also tucked up as high and tight as possible, while the large spare tire well is designed to accommodate oversized tires on either the stock mount or the optional Gen3 tire carrier. Provisions for retaining and mounting factory backup sensors are also included.
The entire bumper shell is manufactured from 4mm thick plate steel, CNC laser cut and precision brake-formed for a perfect fit. A corrosion-resistant fine textured multi-stage black powder coat finish will keep the bumper looking great for years.
