ICON Vehicle Dynamics is proud to announce the release of ICON's full line of 2.5" suspension systems for the 2020-UP Jeep Gladiator JT. The Gladiator is a very capable vehicle off of the showroom floor, however it leaves drivers wanting more when it comes to "out of the box" suspension performance.
Through an accelerated R & D process dubbed the ICON1K test, ICON has logged over a thousand miles in the dirt pushing the JT to off-road extremes to identify limiting factors in OE components, develop products that remove these limits, and unlock the potential of this vehicle. After only the first couple outings in stock trim, ICON engineers quickly realized just how much performance gain there was to be had with this new Jeep model.
This 2.5" suspension system has been tweaked, tuned, and revised several times over the course of ICON's testing to yield a lineup of staged systems that provide unparalleled ride quality and vehicle dynamics for everything from daily driving, to rock crawling, to high-speed desert running.
By addressing the aforementioned "limiting factors" these 2.5" ICON suspension systems completely redefine the capability of the 2020-UP Jeep Gladiator through a combination of 2.0 Aluminum Series and 2.5 Series shocks, multi-rate front and rear coil springs, tubular steel and billet aluminum link arms, front and rear track bars, adjustable sway bar end links, and all necessary hardware for a complete install.
ICON's proven Stage 1 system utilizes ICON's 2.0 Aluminum Series shock absorbers and a billet aluminum rear coil spacer for a budget-conscious way to lift the vehicle, drastically improve on-road ride quality, and set the JT up for mild to moderate off-road use. As the stages increase, the spacers are replaced by ICON triple rate rear coil springs with a specific droop, ride, and overload rate to cover a wide range of driving styles and vehicle loadouts.
Front and rear link kits further improve the ability of the Gladiator to articulate off-road while adjustable front and rear track bars allow for the axle to be centered under the vehicle. 2.5 Series shocks provide huge improvements to the vehicle's damping ability while ICON's signature CDC (Compression Damping Control) Valve allows for end-user adjustment of ride quality with the turn of a knob.
These ICON Vehicle Dynamics 2.5" suspension systems provide wheel travel increases of 30% up front and 20% in the rear, and Icon Vehicle Dynamic were designed around the fitment of a 35" tire for full utilization of that travel without any clearance issues. For those who are looking to install a 37" tire, ICON offers an extended bump stop spacer kit (Part #22071) that allows for this. ICON Alloys offers wheels in both a 4.5" and 4.75" backspace that provide ideal fitments for the JT, taking the guesswork out of lifting the Gladiator and making ICON a one-stop shop for a wide range of Jeep owners.
