This Trail suspension system for the 4-Door Jeep JL is engineered to deliver a refined balance of offroad performance and everyday drivability. Designed to handle demanding conditions such as rock crawling, aggressive trail use, and overland travel, this system significantly improves suspension control, articulation, and ride quality. On the street, carefully tuned shock valving and rear dual rate coil springs provide a smooth, compliant ride that remains comfortable for daily driving.
The system is a complete short arm suspension that utilizes the factory control arm mounting locations for straightforward installation while maintaining proper suspension geometry. Fabtech heavy duty lower link arms are constructed from 1.75" OD, .250" thick wall steel tubing and are guaranteed not to bend under extreme conditions. These link arms combine large polyurethane bushings with Fabtech’s proven 5 Ton Joint® technology to deliver excellent articulation, long service life, and quiet on-road operation.
The coilover conversion is supported by heavy duty 1/4" thick steel bracketry that securely mounts to the factory coil spring buckets and frame. Dirt Logic 2.5 Coilovers feature an all stainless steel body for maximum corrosion resistance and durability. Compared to traditional coil spring and shock setups, these coilovers provide a dramatic improvement in ride quality, damping control, and overall suspension performance both on the highway and in rugged offroad terrain.
Steering geometry is properly corrected for the increased ride height using a heavy duty draglink flip system and reinforced track bar brackets. This setup maintains factory steering angles, allows full suspension articulation without binding, and avoids adding stress to the steering box. Rear suspension geometry is also optimized to maintain the factory roll center while keeping the axle properly centered throughout suspension travel.
