This Trail suspension system for the 4 Door Jeep JL is engineered to significantly enhance suspension performance across a wide range of offroad conditions including rock crawling, aggressive trail use, and overland travel. On-road ride quality is equally refined, with rear dual rate coil springs and carefully tuned shock valving that deliver a smooth, compliant, and controlled driving experience ideal for daily use.
The system is designed as a complete short arm suspension that utilizes factory control arm mounting points for straightforward installation while maintaining proper suspension geometry. Fabtech’s heavy duty lower link arms are constructed from 1.75" OD, .250" thick wall steel tubing and are guaranteed not to bend under extreme offroad conditions. These link arms combine large polyurethane bushings with Fabtech’s proven 5 Ton Joint® technology to provide excellent articulation, reduced noise, and long-term durability.
The coilover conversion is supported by heavy duty 1/4" thick steel bracketry that securely mounts to the factory coil spring buckets and frame. Dirt Logic 2.5 Coilovers feature an all stainless steel body for unmatched corrosion resistance and longevity. Compared to traditional coil spring and shock configurations, these coilovers dramatically improve ride comfort, suspension control, and damping performance both on the highway and in rugged terrain.
Steering geometry is properly corrected to match the increased ride height through the use of a heavy duty draglink flip system and reinforced track bar brackets. This design maintains factory steering angles, allows full suspension articulation without binding, and avoids increasing load on the steering box. Rear suspension geometry is equally refined to maintain the factory roll center while keeping the axle properly centered throughout suspension travel.
