This Trail suspension system for the 4 Door Jeep JL is engineered to deliver a perfect blend of offroad capability and daily driving comfort. Designed to handle rock crawling, aggressive trail use, and overland adventures, the system is carefully tuned with rear dual rate coil springs and matched shock valving to provide a smooth, controlled, and confidence-inspiring ride on pavement.
The system is a complete short arm suspension that utilizes factory control arm mounting locations, allowing for an easy installation while maintaining proper suspension geometry. Fabtech’s heavy duty lower link arms are built from 1.75″ OD, .250″ thick wall steel tubing and are guaranteed not to bend under harsh offroad conditions. These arms combine large polyurethane bushings with Fabtech’s proven 5 Ton Joint® to deliver excellent articulation, quiet operation, and long-term durability.
The coilover conversion is supported by heavy duty 1/4″ thick steel bracketry that mounts securely to the factory coil spring buckets and frame. The Dirt Logic 2.5 Coilovers feature an all stainless steel body for unmatched corrosion resistance and longevity. Compared to a traditional coil spring and shock setup, these coilovers dramatically improve ride quality, suspension control, and damping performance both on the highway and in demanding offroad environments.
Steering geometry is properly corrected to match the increased ride height using a heavy duty draglink flip system and reinforced track bar brackets. This design maintains factory steering angles, allows full suspension articulation without binding, and avoids adding unnecessary stress to the steering box. Rear suspension geometry is equally refined to keep the axle centered while preserving proper roll center characteristics.
Every component in this system is engineered to work together as a complete package, resulting in increased wheel travel, predictable handling, and long-term reliability. This makes it an excellent choice for daily driven Jeeps that regularly see challenging trails and extended overland travel.
