This Trail suspension system is engineered to deliver enhanced performance across all types of off-highway use, including rock crawling, aggressive trail driving, and overland expeditions. On the road, the suspension is carefully tuned with dual rate coil springs and matched shock valving to maintain a smooth, controlled, and comfortable ride for daily driving.
The system is a complete short arm suspension that installs using the factory control arm mounts for a straightforward, bolt-on installation. Heavy duty Fabtech link arms are built from 1.75″ OD, .250″ thick wall steel tubing and are guaranteed not to bend under extreme conditions. These arms use large polyurethane bushings combined with Fabtech’s industry-leading 5 Ton Joint® to provide long service life, quiet operation, and excellent articulation.
Fabtech’s corner-specific long travel dual rate coil springs keep the vehicle level from side to side while increasing suspension travel. The initial spring rate delivers a soft, compliant ride over small bumps, while the secondary rate supports payload and absorbs larger impacts at higher speeds.
To maintain proper steering geometry at the increased ride height, the system includes a draglink flip system and a heavy duty track bar bracket. This design restores factory steering angles, allowing full articulation without binding while avoiding added stress to the steering box.
Rear track bar relocation with side support preserves the factory roll center and keeps the axle properly centered. Front and rear bump stop extensions prevent over-travel and protect suspension and steering components. Every component is designed to work together as a complete system, making this suspension an excellent choice for daily drivers that also demand confidence and durability on challenging terrain.
