This 5″ Trail System for the 2018–2025 Jeep JL 4WD (4-door) is engineered to deliver improved suspension performance for all types of off-highway use, including rock crawling, aggressive trail driving, and extended overland travel. On the road, the system provides a smooth and compliant ride thanks to properly tuned Dual Rate coil springs and precision shock valving designed for comfort and control.
The system is a complete short-arm suspension that installs easily using the factory control-arm mounts. Fabtech’s heavy-duty link arms are built from 1.75″ OD, .250″ thick-wall steel tubing and are guaranteed not to bend. Each arm features a large polyurethane bushing on one end and internal threads on the other to accept the Fabtech 5 Ton Joint®, providing exceptional longevity, articulation, and quiet operation.
Fabtech’s corner-specific long-travel Dual Rate coil springs keep the Jeep level from side to side while increasing usable suspension travel. The first stage of the spring delivers a soft, comfortable ride with the ability to extend for additional articulation. The second stage manages payload support and absorbs larger impacts during higher-speed off-road driving.
To maintain proper steering geometry at the raised ride height, the system includes a Draglink Flip assembly and a heavy-duty Track Bar bracket. This combination repositions the steering linkage to the correct operating plane, prevents draglink binding during full articulation, and maintains the factory draglink angle relative to the pitman arm—eliminating unnecessary side loads on the steering box sector shaft.
The heavy-duty rear Track Bar bracket with side support restores the factory roll center and re-centers the axle for improved stability and control. Front and rear bump stop extensions protect the suspension and driveline from over-cycling during full compression events.
Every Fabtech component is purpose-built with features that enhance durability, ride quality, and off-road capability. This system is a popular choice for daily drivers who enjoy exploring difficult trails and overlanding routes while benefiting from a high-quality, dependable suspension system under their Jeep.
CONTROL LINK ARMS
Proper factory bushing cross bolt angles are parallel on Fabtech Short Arm link arms eliminating premature bushing wear resulting in poor handling.
- This system replaces the four lower link arms due to their vulnerability to offroad obstacles and include the massive Fabtech 5 Ton Joints® with a lifetime warranty.
- 1.75″ OD. .250″ thick wall Link Arms guaranteed not to bend.
DUAL RATE LONG TRAVEL COIL SPRINGS
Corner specific Dual Rate coils springs provide a level stance side to side and offer factory load carrying capacity with a smooth ride.
As a true dual rate coil, the first stage of the coil allows the spring to respond to small bumps for a very complaint ride at lower speeds. As the spring travels further, the rate increases to absorb larger impacts and support additional cargo of the vehicle.
These springs are the best on the market for all around driving while providing increased suspension travel for offroad use.
DRAGLINK FLIP SYSTEM
A heavy duty draglink is relocated on the steering knuckle to retain the factory steering geometry with the stock pitman arm. It provides bind free operation at full articulation and eliminates bump steer throughout the travel. It does not increase load on the steering box like a dropped pitman arm can.
FRONT TRACK BAR BRACKET
To work in conjunction with the Draglink Flip System, the front Track Bar is relocated to the proper operating plane with a 1/4″ thick steel bracket that bolts to the axle housing for a lifetime of trouble free use.
REAR TRACK BAR BRACKET
A bolt on 1/4″ thick steel bracket is built to eliminate mount deflection when the track bar moves through its full cycle. It relocates the factory track bar to retain the important factory roll center.
BUMP STOP EXTENSIONS
Front and rear bump stop extensions keep the suspension from over cycling with the increased ride height preventing damage to steering and suspension parts. The extensions utilize the factory closed cell cushions for a progressive stop at the end of the suspension travel.
SWAY BAR LINKS
The extended length front and rear sway bar links with urethane bushings reposition the bars to work within the factory operating planes. These links are provided to eliminate the sway bar from going over center and creating link bind at full extension travel.
Parking Brake Bracket
Even small details like relocating the parking brake cable with an extension bracket is included to prevent premature engagement due to increased ride height and wheel travel.
DIRT LOGIC SHOCKS
Constructed of a stainless steel body with a NitroSteel piston rod for maximum corrosion resistance and durability. Dirt Logic shocks have a superior ride quality both on and offroad with excellent damping for offroad use.
