The system features a complete short-arm suspension design that utilizes the factory control-arm mounts for straightforward installation. Fabtech’s heavy-duty link arms are built from 1.75″ OD, .250″-wall steel tubing, ensuring exceptional strength and a guarantee against bending. Each arm incorporates a large polyurethane bushing on one end and internal threads on the other to accept the innovative Fabtech 5 Ton Joint®, delivering long service life and quiet, controlled articulation.
Fabtech’s long-travel, corner-specific Dual Rate coil springs keep the Jeep level from side to side while maximizing suspension movement. The first spring stage delivers a soft, comfortable ride with extended travel capability, while the second stage manages vehicle payload and absorbs high-speed impacts.
To correct steering geometry at the lifted height, the system includes a Draglink Flip assembly paired with a heavy-duty Track Bar bracket. The draglink maintains its factory angle relative to the pitman arm, avoiding increased side load on the steering box sector shaft—an important factor for long-term durability compared to systems using a dropped pitman arm.
A reinforced rear Track Bar bracket with side support maintains proper roll center and re-centers the axle, while bump stop extensions at both ends protect the suspension from over-cycling and ensure component longevity.
