Fabtech’s coil springs maintain the factory load-carrying capacity while providing increased suspension travel. The springs and associated bracketry allow for an additional inch of compression travel over stock without creating suspension bind, offering improved capability when navigating rugged terrain.
Sway bar drop brackets reposition the front sway bar to prevent the link ends from going over-center at full droop and causing bind. Brake line extension brackets relocate the lines downward on the frame to eliminate the risk of overstretching throughout the increased travel range. By retaining the factory brake system and using extension brackets rather than longer brake lines, installation is faster and trouble-free.
This suspension system retains the factory bump stops without extensions, allowing greater usable suspension travel when paired with Fabtech’s coil springs and components.
Typically, lifting a Super Duty shifts the front axle to one side due to the fixed-length factory track bar and its mounting location. To correct this, Fabtech includes a heavy-duty 1/4″ thick steel Track Bar mount. This bracket repositions the track bar to recenter the front axle to factory alignment specifications, ensuring proper tracking of both front and rear axles for excellent highway stability.
The lift kit retains the factory shocks and includes heavy-duty shock extension brackets, preserving a stock-like ride quality while accommodating the increased ride height.
Once installed, the 2.5″ lift produces a nearly level stance from front to rear, reducing the factory nose-down appearance. For owners who prefer to maintain more of the original rake, Fabtech offers an optional 4″ rear block kit (FTS22214), which replaces the factory 2.5″ blocks and adds 1.5″ of additional rear lift.
