The 2019–24 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Trail Boss and GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 4WD come equipped from the factory with a 2″ lift compared to standard GM 1500 models. Fabtech’s engineered 4″ suspension system adds an additional 4″ of lift on top of the factory height, providing proper clearance for 35″ tall tires. Once installed, a Trail Boss or AT4 equipped with Fabtech’s 4″ system sits at the same overall height as a standard GM 1500 running a 6″ suspension system with 35″ tires.
Fabtech’s suspension design delivers excellent drivability both on and off the road. Zero bump steer throughout the suspension cycle reduces driver fatigue and enhances ride control. The near-stock track width keeps the tires neatly under the fenders for a clean, proportional appearance. Custom steering knuckle geometry maintains excellent lock-to-lock turning radius, allowing easy maneuverability in tight spaces.
The system includes heavy duty 1/4″ thick steel crossmembers with OE-style alignment cam pins for easy adjustment, along with triple differential mounts to maintain proper CV and driveshaft angles for vibration-free operation at high speed. Factory Trail Boss and AT4 coilovers are retained and repositioned using reinforced lower mounts to achieve the full 4″ lift while allowing full steering clearance. Rear lift is obtained by removing the factory 2″ block and replacing it with a 5″ block and u-bolt system. Every aspect of suspension geometry, wheel travel, and steering clearance has been addressed for proper function without over-cycling.
