The 2001–2010 Chevy Silverado 2500HD/3500HD and GMC Sierra 2500HD/3500HD 2WD/4WD can be upgraded with Fabtech’ all-new RTS® (Raised Torsion Suspension) System, engineered to significantly improve ground clearance and off-road capability. This innovative system uses patent-pending torsion bar brackets that keep the torsion bars raised in their stock location, eliminating low-hanging components that can become high-centered or damaged during off-road use.
The RTS® system is built using unitized bracketry for increased strength and reduced installation time. Fabtech’ high-arched crossmembers are constructed from 1/4" thick steel and feature tubular cross braces along with a 1/4" thick front differential skid plate for maximum durability. The use of 1/4" steel throughout ensures the rigidity required to properly relocate torsion bars, bump stops and lower control arms.
Fabtech has extensively tested the RTS® system both on and off the road to refine bump stop engagement, torsion bar positioning and shock valving. The result is an industry-leading suspension system that redefines IFS performance—delivering outstanding off-road capability while maintaining excellent highway manners.
