The 2001–2010 Chevy Silverado 2500HD/3500HD and GMC Sierra 2500HD/3500HD 2WD/4WD can be upgraded with Fabtech’ advanced RTS® (Raised Torsion Suspension) System, engineered to significantly improve ground clearance and off-road capability. This innovative design uses patent-pending torsion bar brackets that keep the torsion bars raised in their stock location, eliminating low-hanging components that can become high-centered or damaged during off-road use.
The RTS® system features unitized bracketry that increases structural strength while reducing installation time. Fabtech’ signature high-arched crossmembers are constructed from 1/4" thick steel and strengthened with tubular cross braces, along with a 1/4" thick steel front differential skid plate for maximum durability. The use of 1/4" steel throughout ensures the rigidity required to properly relocate torsion bars, bump stops, and lower control arms.
Through extensive on- and off-road testing, Fabtech has refined bump stop engagement, torsion bar positioning, and shock valving to create a superior performing suspension system. This industry-leading design redefines the capabilities of IFS suspension, delivering exceptional off-road performance while maintaining excellent highway comfort.
