It's A Great Time To Buy A Ford Super Duty Truck

Ford is offering some attractive incentives on its large trucks this month.

With the all-new Ford F-150 now fully revealed, Ford recently offered some attractive incentives on the outgoing F-150. But what if you need a heavy-duty truck with more capability? Well, there's some more good news higher up in the Ford truck lineup as several tempting deals are being offered for the Super Duty range in September. The only limitation will be location, as not all offers are available nationwide.

For customers willing to purchase a 2019 model, a cashback rebate of up to $3,500 is being offered in certain markets and is one of the best incentives this month, with 2020 versions offering a saving of $1,500.

Retail customers can additionally take advantage of 3.9 percent APR over a period of 60 months for the 2020 Super Duty, but according to Ford Authority, this offer only applies to the Detroit market.

The retail offer of $3,500 cashback applies to the 2019 XL STX in New York City, while the $1,500 cash discount for 2020 models is observed in Detroit and New York City. STX is presumably a reference to the optional STX Appearance Package (since there is no standalone STX trim), which adds features like a bright chrome grille and 18-inch alloy wheels to the XL. All of these deals will require customers to take delivery by September 30, and these offers can't be taken in conjunction with certain finance and lease deals.

For reference, the cheapest 2020 Ford Super Duty truck you can buy is the F-250 XL with a starting MSRP of $34,035. A base F-350 will cost $35,550 and the most affordable F-450 starts at $50,210. A destination charge of $1,695 applies to 2020 models ($1,595 for 2019 trucks).

It's worth noting that Ford made several changes to the F-250 for the 2020 model year, such as the introduction of an optional 7.3-liter V8 gas engine, a new 10-speed automatic transmission, and added equipment such as automatic high beams. Similar upgrades apply to the 2020 F-350, so keep these in mind if you're deciding between a 2019 and 2020 version.
