GMC Sierra AT4's New Feature-Rich Package Is A Bargain

And it's on sale right now.

The pickup truck wars continue in America as the Detroit Three automakers continue to fight for every customer. Not surprisingly, the Ford F-150 outsold its Chevrolet Silverado 1500/GMC Sierra 1500 and Ram 1500 rivals. A completely redesigned F-150 is also now arriving in dealerships across the country, forcing GM and Ram to respond faster than they'd probably like.

Until facelifts for both trucks arrive, GMC is taking the initiative by trying to attract more buyers with the new-for-2021 AT4 Value Package.

This package, one of several offered with the off-road-focused AT4 trim level, includes a number of comfort and convenience features customers will find attractive for a good price.

Highlights include the AT4 Preferred Package that includes a universal home remote, rear sliding power window, Bose audio system, and wireless charging. The Driver Alert Package adds front and rear park assist, lane change alert with side blind zone alert, rear cross-traffic alert, and perimeter lighting. There's also a set of 18-inch Mud Terrain Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac blackwall tires. This package normally costs $2,605 but is currently discounted by $500 to $2,105.

So why is this AT4 Value Package a good thing? Because it makes it easier for dealerships to order Sierra AT4s with all of those features grouped together instead of buying those accessories separately. It's no coincidence they're already some of the Sierra AT4's most popular features.

We don't know how long the discount will last, but as long as it's there buyers are getting a pretty solid deal. Of course, it's possible to further increase the truck's price by tacking on additional off-road parts, such as 20-inch wheels with all-terrain tires or 20-inch wheels wearing Wrangler Territory rubber.

Normally, customers will have to pay $3,405 or $3,700 for the package with those upgraded tires, but the current discount lowers those figures to $2,905 and $3,200.

The GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 begins at $55,995 with the 5.3-liter V8, $56,990 with the 3.0-liter Duramax V6 turbo diesel, or $58,490 with the 6.2-liter V8. Checking all of the option boxes pushes the final price to around $60,000.
