2018-2019 Toyota Tacoma, Tundra Fuel Pump: Recall Alert

Vehicles Affected: Model-year 2018-19 Toyota Tacoma and Tundra pickup trucks are part of a Toyota and Lexus recall affecting approximately 6960,000 vehicles

The Problem: A fuel pump may stop operating, which may cause warning lights and messages to be displayed on the instrument panel and the engine to run rough, possibly resulting in a vehicle stall, increasing the risk of a crash.

The Fix: Toyota said the issue is still being investigated and the remedy is under development.

What Owners Should Do: Toyota will begin notifying owners in mid-March. Owners can call Toyota at 888-270-9371, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
