Transform Your Jeep Wrangler Into An Offroad Animal

Take your Wrangler to the next level in off-road capability.

The Jeep Wrangler is plenty capable off-road straight from the factory, just as its reputation would have it, but let's say you want a bit more out of it. Where do you turn? You could shop the aftermarket yourself, hand-picking a slew of off-road performance components that may or may not live up to expectations and work for your purposes.

Or, you could turn to the experts at American Expedition Vehicles (AEV), who have built up a reputation as makers of some of the most capable, most comprehensively developed off-road vehicles out there. The company offers a pair of specially configured upfitting packages for the Jeep Wrangler JL, and pricing for the 2020 models is now available.

The more basic of AEV's JL Wrangler packages, the JL350, starts at $11,999.52, and standout standard equipment includes a 2-inch suspension spacer lift with geometry correction, an AEV high-clearance front bumper with a skid plate, AEV rear bumper, and in-house-designed AEV wheels. AEV 7000 Series LED Off-Road lights provide auxiliary illumination on the trails, and a full branding package - including AEV logo headrests - spruces up the appearance. Other in-house designed upgrade parts include an AEV center brake light, AEV instrument cluster, and an AEV light cover kit.

The JL370 starts a bit higher at $15,500, but it tosses in an AEV 2.5-inch DualSport RT suspension system instead of the simpler spacer lift, along with a 4.56:1 differential gear upgrade, for even more supreme off-road performance.

Things get even more hardcore once one starts adding optional extras. An AEV intake snorkel ($659) is available on the JL370, and both models offer a fuel caddy ($450) mounted just in front of the hatch-mounted spare, a Warn winch kit ($1,492), Baja Designs LED light bar ($450) and back-up light ($420), and even an assortment of interior leather upgrade packages. As for tires, a choice of either BFGoodrich KO2 all-terrains or KM3 mud-terrains is available, 35 inches on the JL350 and 37 inches on the JL370, at no cost.

AEV's 2020 JL350 and JL370 packages are available now, and ready to take your Jeep Wrangler JL to the next level of off-road capability.
