This Is The World's Most Powerful 2020 Chevrolet Silverado

Find out how much horsepower Hennessey's modified Chevrolet Silverado generates after hitting the dyno.

In standard form, the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado is a highly capable pickup that packs a 6.2-liter V8 pumping out 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque in its most powerful guise. But if that's not enough power for you, Hennessey Performance is here to help.

As part of its Goliath package, the Texas tuner can already extract 700 horsepower from Chevrolet's 6.2-liter V8 when running on 93-octane gasoline by installing a 2.9-liter supercharger system, a high-flow intercooling and air flow induction system, a custom HPE camshaft, and a recalibrated ECU, among other upgrades. If that still isn't enough power for you, Hennessey now also offers a Goliath 800 upgrade, which increases the output to, you guessed it, 800 horsepower.

Hennessey's Goliath 800 upgrade is available for all 2019 and 2020 GMC and Chevrolet pickup trucks powered by the 6.2-liter V8 including the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. To show what it can do, Hennessey hooked up a modified 2020 Chevrolet Silverado with the Goliath 800 package installed to a dynamometer, where it generated 629 horsepower at the rear wheels. Factoring a standard 25 percent driveline loss, this equates to 838 hp at the flywheel, which is more than double the output of the regular 6.2-liter V8-powered Chevrolet Silverado.

In addition to the massive power increase, Hennessey offers a host of upgrades for the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado including a Goliath off-road package that adds a unique front bumper incorporating five LED lights, 20-inch ten-spoke wheels wrapped in 35-inch Toyo off-road tires, a six-inch lift kit, and custom Hennessey and Goliath exterior graphics.

A custom ram air hood, stainless steel exhaust system, retractable electronic bed cover, and upgraded electronic fold-out steps round off the available exterior upgrades. Inside, the interior can be specified with a diamond-stitched interior. If four wheels aren't enough for you, Hennessey also recently showed off the 800-hp Goliath 6X6, packing the same power, but more driven wheels.
