One Guy Has a Chevy Silverado and a GMC Sierra with 1.5 Million Total Miles on Them
One, a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado DRW crew cab, has 1 million miles, and the other, a 2015 GMC Sierra SRW, has 500,000 miles.
- Brook Smith, a man from Missouri who tows RVs across the country, owns two trucks with a total of 1.5 million miles on their odometers, as first reported on the Pickup Truck and SUV Talk blog.
- One is a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado DRW crew cab 4x4, and the other is a 2015 GMC Sierra SRW. Both are equipped with the factory Duramax diesel.
- The 2007 Chevy has just over a million miles, and the GMC, which he bought with 93,000 miles on it, has over 500,000 miles.
If a car surpasses 150,000 or 200,000 miles it's considered impressive. Brook Smith of Missouri blew past those numbers a long time ago; he has two GM trucks that in total, have around 1.5 million miles on the odometer.
So far, Brook hasn't done any major service to Big Red's powertrain, he replaced the fuel injectors at 500,000 miles, and swapped in a heavy-duty torque converter at 400,000 miles. This wasn't because something was wrong with the stock torque converter, it's only because he wanted a more reliable one to tow big rigs across the country.
His second truck is a 2015 GMC Sierra SRW, also equipped with a Duramax, that had 93,000 miles on it when he bought it. He just wanted a newer truck.
