Jeep Brings Back Incredible Deals On The 2020 Gladiator

You could save thousands on a Gladiator in September.

The mighty Jeep Gladiator off-road pickup has somehow been something of a dud in the showroom, selling just a hair over 40,000 units in the US last year. Granted, that was without the benefit of a full year of availability, the Gladiator having launched in the spring of 2019. But nonetheless, the adventure-ready mid-size pickup seems like it could use a bit of help.

That help has just arrived in the form of employee pricing on most 2020 Jeep Gladiator models, CarsDirect reports, marking the first time since July of this year that employee pricing has been available for the Jeep pickup model line.

Employee pricing, in Jeep's case, works out to 5 percent below dealer invoice, plus a $200 fee. Note that that's below invoice, not MSRP, meaning the savings are even more substantial than you might be picturing. In fact, Jeep advertises that the discounts, which took effect late last week, could result in savings of more than $5,000 below MSRP on a well-equipped 2020 Jeep Gladiator Overland.

Of course, that's assuming we're talking about a Gladiator Overland that's been relatively kitted-out; a base-spec Overland would only see savings in the vicinity of $3,500. What's more, the Gladiator's two coolest trims - Rubicon and Mojave - are excluded from the employee pricing deals.

So long as you're not eyeing either of those models, however, it might be a remarkably good deal. That's especially true in the case of the Jeep Gladiator Sport S, which benefits from both employee pricing and a $1,500 bonus introduced earlier this month. That results in potential savings to the tune of around $4,000.

One thing to keep in mind: these deals are valid only on retail, so if you're planning on leasing a 2020 Jeep Gladiator, don't expect the same savings. But if you were holding out for the right time to purchase Jeep's new mid-size pickup, September might just be your month.
