Ford's Latest Bronco Teaser Proves It'll Be A Serious Off-Roader

Sand. Lots of sand.

By the time the new Ford Bronco is officially revealed on July 13, we would have seen just about every part of the new off-roader as Ford continues to share teaser images on social media. After yesterday's reveal of the Bronco's face, the latest image provides a look at the SUV's rear side view and, well, not much else.

We also have new information about how Ford will team up with Disney for the Bronco's official reveal. For now, the latest teaser (featuring nine separate images on Instagram, most of them sand-filled) show the Bronco in its natural habitat, getting dirty along a sandy trail. Besides the tough-looking wheel-and-tire combo, what's also noticeable is the Bronco's super-short rear overhang.

This should go some way to giving the Bronco an excellent departure angle, which it will need to compete with the Jeep Wrangler off-road. Also aiding its off-road prowess should be those off-road tires that surround sporty black wheels with a central Bronco logo. On the square tailgate, the spare tire actually looks different to the rear right tire visible here. Continuing with the rugged, square theme are the simple taillight clusters that protrude from the body.

The same yellow paint that has been used in several other teasers is used here - could this become the new Bronco's signature shade? Perhaps we'll find out when the Bronco is unveiled across Disney's various media networks. Three unique three-minute films are set to air on ABC, National Geographic, and ESPN at 8:00 pm ET.

With the help of Academy Award-winning director and professional climber Jimmy Chin, along with Disney CreativeWorks - Disney's own creative agency - the reveal stories will be co-created with the Ford team. "We're proud to tap [into] the strengths of epic adventurers like Jimmy Chin and Disney storytellers to help bring Bronco to life and inspire millions of people to get out into the wild."

Customers interested in the Bronco will be able to reserve the model for $100 beginning on July 13 at 8:00 p.m. on the Ford website. Before all of this happens, expect more teasers from Ford in the buildup to one of the most anticipated launches of the year.
