Ford Ranger Gets A Supercar Makeover

If you want your Ford Ranger with lashings of carbon fiber, MotionR has you covered.

Based in the UK, MotionR is a company born of a partnership between people specializing in supercar sales, wheel design, and body design. The Ford Transit has been the main focus of MotionR, but the Brits have turned their attention to the Ford Ranger to give it an aggressive makeover. Built by hand with plenty of carbon-fiber, everything is bespoke, from the interior to the wheels. The modifications to Ford's Ranger here are significant, and immediately our eyes were smacked by the custom-designed carbon-fiber grille and bumpers, complete with fully integrated daytime running lights.

MotionR has gone absolutely nuts with the carbon fiber from there, and the front fenders, rear quarter panels, and rear bumper are all formed using the strong and lightweight material. The custom-designed rear bumper also has MotionR's stainless steel exhaust system integrated into it. The fenders and quarter panels also feature wider wheel arches to accommodate MotionR's 'OR1' 20-inch concave alloy wheels.

There's also a fully exposed carbon-fiber exterior package available that can be ordered in 2×2 Weave or MotionR's forged carbon spec. That includes a front splitter, a staggered wheel arch package for a wider track at the rear, wing vents, a rear diffuser, and a tailgate spoiler.

If that's still not enough carbon-fiber for its customers, MotionR also offers an interior package. That consists of carbon-fiber dash trims, a carbon-fiber flat bottomed and leather-wrapped steering wheel, and an optional branded quilted Nappa leather interior. All the interior carbon-fiber is available in 2×2 weave or forged carbon.

There's no word on pricing yet, but don't expect the packages to come cheap. A full package for the Ford Transit van comes in at around $40,000, although the company does offer part exchange valuations to help offset the cost with parts to be replaced.
