The midsize truck market will welcome two new models in the first half of 2019. The Ford Ranger goes on sale early next year. The Jeep truck, which will debut at the Los Angeles International Auto Show, will follow. To prepare for the increased competition, automakers are offering low lease and financing deals for qualified buyers.

Trucks.com compiled a list of deals that represent the best value for consumers. Incentives vary by region, so always check with a local dealership. And don’t be afraid to negotiate.

All the deals in this article are valid through at least Dec. 3, although some may be extended.

2018 Nissan Frontier

Deal: 0.0% financing for 36 months and $500 bonus cash

The Nissan Frontier is the oldest new midsize truck available for sale in the U.S. The model has been updated for the 2018 model year to include standard rearview camera, cruise control, Bluetooth, Siri Eyes Free and a 5-inch display audio screen. It comes in 20 variants broken down by trim (S, SV, SL, Desert Runner, PRO-4X), drivetrain (4×2 or 4×4), cab (King or Crew) and transmission (five-speed manual, six-speed manual or five-speed automatic). Nissan prices the Frontier starting at $18,990.

As part of this offer, qualified buyers can extend their financing at a higher rate (0.9% for 60 months and 2.9% for 72 months). Instead of the low rate, customers can choose to receive $2,000 cash back. All Frontier models qualify for $500 in bonus cash. This deal expires Dec. 3.

2019 Chevrolet Colorado Crew Cab LT 4WD

Deal: $299 per month for 36 months with $5,339 due at signing

The Chevrolet Colorado is a capable truck that easily tackles city streets, freeways and back roads. The midgrade LT trim that is part of this deal includes a 61.7-inch short box. It is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine that delivers 308 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. The model rides on 17-inch aluminum wheels and comes standard with remote keyless entry, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a rearview camera and an 8-inch infotainment touch screen display. The color of its bumper, mirror caps and door handles matches its paint job. The MSRP of the truck that is part of this deal is $34,200.

The amount due at signing varies. Current lessees of 2012 model year or newer select General Motors vehicles owe just $3,829 at signing. Others pay $5,329. This nationwide lease comes with a 30,000-mile limit and expires Nov. 30.

2018 GMC Canyon SLE

Deal: $3,000 purchase allowance

The GMC Canyon shares a platform with the Chevrolet Colorado and consequentially has much of the same excellent on- and off-road capability. This offer extends to all Canyon SLE trim models. The Canyon SLE can be configured multiple ways thanks to its three cab/box configurations (crew cab/long box, crew cab/short box, extended cab), two drivetrain choices (2WD and 4WD) and three engine options (2.5-liter four-cylinder, 3.6-liter V6, 2.8-liter four-cylinder diesel). The SLE grade starts at $29,495.

This offer expires Nov. 30.

2018 Toyota Tacoma SR 4×4

Deal: $269 per month for 36 months with $2,999 due at signing

The Toyota Tacoma base model starts at $25,400 and comes with either an Access Cab with a long bed or double cab with a five-foot short bed. The truck that is part of this offer features the upgraded double cab and the available 3.5-liter V6 engine, which gets 119 more horsepower and 65 pound-feet more torque than the standard 2.7-liter four-cylinder power plant. It’s also a 4×4. All told, that pushes the MSRP of the truck to over $31,000.

This offer includes a 10,000-mile-per-year limit.

2018 Nissan Frontier SV 4×4

Deal: $299 per month for 36 months with $2,999 due at signing plus $500 bonus cash

The Nissan Frontier included in this offer is powered by a 4.0-liter V6 engine with 261 horsepower and 281 pound-feet of torque. It has hill-descent control and hill-start assist. Nissan has equipped the Frontier in this model with the available Value Truck Package and floor mats.

Qualified lessees of the new Frontier are eligible for $500 bonus cash. This offer expires Dec. 3.

2018 Chevrolet Colorado

Deal: $500 customer cash and $2,500 purchase bonus cash

The capable Chevrolet Colorado was last redesigned when its current generation debuted in 2015, but it’s received minor upgrades along the way. For 2018, Chevrolet has made its Active Tow system available. It has a base price of $20,995.

When equipped with the available 2.8-liter Duramax diesel engine, the Colorado has a maximum trailering capacity of 7,700 pounds. That same engine achieves 30 mpg on the highway, which is outstanding for its class.

This nationwide offer expires Nov. 30 and includes all models except Base.
