2020 Nissan Titan Teased Before Official September 26 Reveal

Here’s what we know so far

The 2020 Nissan Titan is coming next week, and the company teased an official photo Thursday. From previous prototype shots, it’s clear Nissan isn’t aiming for a full redesign here. Instead, this is more of a moderate refresh, focusing on the headlights, grille, and likely the rear-end design.

Overall, the shape will be familiar to those who know the current-generation Titan. The daytime running lights are more prominent, though the assembly’s shape hasn’t changed too dramatically. In its release, Nissan did mention the “hot” Nissan badge for its Pro-4X model, featuring lava red accents.

As for changes under the skin to the 2020 Nissan Titan, we aren’t expecting anything dramatically different. We’ll certainly see an updated interior, likely with a new infotainment screen and possibly more standard media and driver assistance features. It’s safe to imagine the 5.6-liter Endurance gas V8 will carry over to the next model as well. Currently, that engine produces 390 horsepower and 394 lb-ft of torque, mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission.

Dead: Titan XD Diesel

One thing that will not carry over to the 2020 Nissan Titan is the 5.0-liter Cummins turbodiesel V8 on the XD model. The gas-powered Titan XD model will remain, but buyers will no longer have a diesel option after the 2019 model.
